I’m excited to be back with part two in a series honoring the astrological seasons of the year, this time to explore all things Taurus. This is a season about loyalty, commitment, and living with integrity — but also, thanks to Venus, it’s a season that centers and celebrates sensuality, pleasure, and comfort (because we have to balance all of that sturdy, grounded energy with some softness, y’know?)

Taurus energy holds a beautiful balance of sturdy rootedness and silky-smooth sensuality: unshakeable as a block of concrete, but adorned with the feathery wings of cupid. Every astrological sign is complex and multi-faceted, and with Taurus, we see multiple layers come together to form an archetype that holds both strength and softness. After a bold, fiery Aries season, Taurus takes center stage and brings us back into our bodies. It slows the pace so that we can find our footing, commit to the things that matter most, and tend to our corporeal needs and desires.

Taurus is an earth sign (along with Virgo & Capricorn), which means that it’s associated with things like the natural world, the physical realm, our bodies and our senses, material resources, work and goals, and steady & sustainable growth. It’s also a fixed sign (along with Leo, Scorpio, and Aquarius), which gives it a sturdy, stable, and committed quality — the fixed signs have their feet firmly planted and stand strong in their convictions. Ruled by Venus, Taurus also carries themes of love, beauty, connection, intimacy, aesthetics, softness, values, and harmony.
